Tennis Bracelet
This is a comfortable lightweight bracelet, which truly hugs your wrist. The finished length is 8" but you can adjust the size by increasing or decreasing the pattern repeats. Each pattern is ½". Increasing would require one additional package of Crystals. Also consider making this bracelet with different Crystals and Delica colors. You will love it! Materials:
Directions: Step 1: Cut two 24" length of Nymo thread and condition with Thread Heaven. Step 2: Thread needle and pull needle to the middle so you will be working with a double thread, add 5 Delica seed beads. Next string the following pattern: 1 Bugle, 1 Delica, 1 Crystal, 1 Delica, Repeat this pattern 13 times. Add 1 bugle and then 5 Delicas, and place Bead Stoppers on both ends. Step 3: Take second thread, thread needle and pull needle to the middle. Insert needle through the first thread 5 Delicas. Now string the same pattern as the first thread but simply take your needle through the crystals existing on the first thread, in order, from left to right. String the following: 1 Bugle, 1 Delica, 1 Crystal (From first strand), 1 Delica 
Repeat this pattern 13 times. Be careful not to separate the thread as you go through the crystal for the second time. Try not to twist threads and keep beads flat on table so that the crystals are added in the same order as the first thread. Add 1 Bugle and then insert needle through the last 5 Delicas on the first thread. Add these threads to existing Bead Stoppers on both ends. Step 4: Repeat steps 1 - 3 two times. This will give you three double strands. Step 5: Remove Bead Stoppers, lay the strands on a flat surface and gentle wipe the beads with your finger to flatten any kinks or twists. Then push the beads snug together, aligning the bugles and crystal across the three rows. Step 6: Each end will have 12 threads, separate them into 2 groups of 6 threads. Thread a group through your needle and thread the needle through the bottom of a bead tip, remove the needle. Repeat with the second group of threads. Repeat on the other end. Step 7: Take the two groups of threads on one end, tie a square knot, place a dot of glue on the knot, twist threads together into bead tip, close bead tip, and trim threads. Repeat on other end. Step 8: Slip the toggle heart onto the hook of the bead tip and close the hook with pliers. Repeat with toggle bar on other end. Enjoy |
